In an Instagram question and answer session, Guradians Of The Galaxy 3 director James Gunn asked questions from the fans. He indicated a fateful end to the series. Not all fans would like that.
The Guardians Of The Galaxy series also has a turbulent past behind the camera. After director Jame Gunn staged the first two films, he was fired because old, but very controversial tweets of him appeared. In it, the young James Gunn made fun of topics such as rape and pedophilia. Disney then parted with Gunn, who nevertheless made a public apology. James Gunn was then forced by DC to stage the sequel to the anti-hero movie Suicide Squad. But also Disney changed his mind and after some talks with Gunn he was hired as director for Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 again. However, the theatrical release of Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 is postponed a year ago, because only Suicide Squad 2 will start.
Nevertheless, James Gunn already answered the questions of the fans. Of course, no exact details were revealed in the Instagram Q & A, but first hints should not please all fans. So a fan asked if in Guradians Of The Galaxy 3 a protagonist would die. Gunn then replied that he could not remember a superhero movie in which no one had died. So it seems like the future is not bright for all the characters in the series. With Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 closing the series, a final like the Avengers: Endgame could throw significant gaps into the ranks of the Guardians.
Who exactly has to believe it and what adventures the Guardians experience this time, remains to be seen. Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 is expected to be released in 2022 after James Gunn's current project, The Suicide Squad, hit the screens in 2021.
