"Vile Nilotic Rites" was recorded and produced by NILE member Karl Sanders at Serpent Headed Studios in Greenville, South Carolina. Jim Touras and George Dovolos were solely responsible for recording the drums at Esoteron Music Studios in the Greek capital of Athens , The mixing and mastering took over Mark Lewis in the MRL Studios. The artwork comes from the pen of Michal "Xaay" Loranc, who worked with NILE for over ten years.

NILE mastermind Karl Sanders comments: "It was a fun affair, this damned number called 'Vile Nilotic Rites' too Now that we play the track on tour, we also enjoy playing it for our fans live, 'Vile' is a pretty catchy track with a lot of tempo changes: sometimes it's brutally hard, sometimes it groovs irresistible in the mid-tempo, before the listener is again exposed to blastbeat attacks, and it brings with it a certain insidiously nasty atmosphere, without letting technical details pass, making it really damn funny on stage to my favorites on the album, as well as the associated (excellent) vocal performances of Brian and Brad and Georges extremely brutal, but also tasteful drums work 'Vile' was one of the first songs we wrote for the new record, so we really could not wait to introduce it to the Metal fans.
